Hi everyone!
I am testing out macOS BS on my Windows 10 machine using VirtualBox and I am very pleased since I am thinking about switching platforms in the near future by purchasing a MacBook Pro.
I noticed that there is two APFS: One is just only APFS and the other is APFS (Encrypted) when I go into Disk Utilities.
Next time, if I choose APFS Encrypted, I DO NOT need to turn On File Vault? Is that what APFS Encrypted means?
So lets say I get a MacBook Pro, and when I get to the Disk Utilities part during setup and choose APFS Encrypted, does that mean I do not need to have File Vault turned On? Or, do I still need to turn On File Vault even if I chosen to use APFS Encrypted?
**I want to have the whole entire drive encrypted not just the Used space**
