APFS Recovery Disk Not Shown with ⌥ at Startup

I did a clean install of 10.13 on a MacbookPro 11,5 and I have the following disk structure:

Yet when I start my Mac with ⌥ pressed I only get my main partition (APFS Volume Diogenes) displayed. The APFS disk container looks correct to me, does anyone have any ideas why no recovery disk option is present at boot?

To answer my own question, it seems recovery partitions are no longer visible, but are still accessible with ⌘R...

That's normal AFAIK. You boot into the recovery partition using the ⌘R where as the boot menu may only show the non-recovery partitions.

I will offer one caveat, I've not booted my Mac with the option key for a very long time, and so my memory of what's presented may be off ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
