iOS api related to msn messenger

I am searching for an api by which we can connect to msn messenger network dispatch buddylist and send messages to buddies using msn messenger network whether any one tried this.

adding api

I have looked at adium source and thank you for response. As I am new to iphone app development I does not know how to add an api to a project and how to use it. In adium it used libpurple api can you describe me steps to add an api to a project.
