Hi,

Are there any tricks to make my aperture library open in Photos? It asked me to repair the permissions, I clicked yes and it won't open, it's stuck at 34%.

It's a 800GB aperture library.

Note: it doesn't say "not responding", CPU and RAM are still moving for Photos but it has been 1 hours...

Thanks

How long was it stuck at 34%? I am trying to convert an Aperture library that is 1.3 TB to Photos. It is on an external drive whose light is still flashing. It has been stuck at 34% for 11 hours now. It went from 0 to 34% pretty quickly. Does it jump dramatically? I would be happy if it jumped at least 1% occasionally. I have turned off Time Machine thinking that might slow it down. Dashboard shows Photos about 15% active so it looks like something is happening. Thanks

Me again. Checked iMac (mid-2011 16 GB memory) after fifteen and a half hours and it appears to be finished!!! Have 126,953 photos and size on external disk (Lacie Thunderbolt 2) went from size of 1.29TB to 1.33TB. Was expecting at least a week. One last question, when I connect my iPhone X do the new pictures automatically go to Photos or do I have to switch something. Can't wait to play around with it.

Was disappointed to find that favorites downloaded from my new iphone are not flagged as suchin Photos. Also of the 9,000+ photos on my iphone X more than 4,000 were marked as never downloaded so downloaded them again. Also upon connecting iphone via USB cable Photos does not start automatically even though that is checked.
