So am I just crazy and missed it, or is the App download limit now different? Or is it different due to a beta version of iOS only? I just downloaded the free app this week Piloteer, says its 262 mb. I'm not anywhere I can connect to wifi so I planned on getting the App will download later message, but it downloaded it.

I'd see if that works with non-featured items as perhaps Apple might be making an exception for certain things but not in general.

I noticed the other day that it let me to download a 177MB app over cellular. I'm not on the beta and it wasn't featured.

I wonder if it was something they changed by accident and have since fixed.

Or, come to think of it, it could be that the download size is under 100MB. (I would imagine that app store apps come compressed in an installer, just like conventional applications.)

Same here. Maybe they have increased the limits. Pioleteer was free on App store.

It's pretty stupid there is a limit, couldn't update Facebook the other day cause it was like 102MB. But I see why Apple wouldn't remove the limit for people, people would download stuff with out checking the size and then sue Apple for their mistake.

I wondered that too, it could be that's all it is.

I noticed that with Fscebook too, and a couple others. They seemed to be staying at just under 100MB, I figured it might be just for this reason. But now they are starting to get a little too big.
