Hello,

Have tried out uBar on new iMac, and realize this APP is not
for me, for a variety of reasons.

Was wondering though:

Is there any APP out there that would, simply, provide an additional row
for DOCK icons ?

Pretty much the same as the DOCK now provides for, but
just an additional row to put them in.

Simple, without the infinite number
of bells and whistles, options, etc.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi,

Thanks for suggestion.

Question please: If I don't like DragThing, for whatever reason, how
easy is it to remove it from the MAC and revert back to the original Dock ?

How would I do this ? (I'm a brand new iMac user)

DragThing pretty "safe" ?

Any caveats to using, etc. ?

Thanks again for help,
Bob

The developer for DragThing has been around for years and this is a respected app. You can quit the app and immediately go back to the Dock. You can use both together. My only concern is it's a 32-bit app. High Sierra is the last macOS that will support 32-bit apps. Most developers are upgrading their apps.

Since you are a new Mac user, you might want to create a new User in System Preferences for testing. If you don't like the change you simply delete the User.

CREATE A NEW USER

Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Users & Groups.
Switch to the New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching.
You can skip logging in with an Apple ID unless you need to test iCloud apps. Hit don't sign in, continue then skip.

Only default Apple apps will be in the Dock in the new User. Go to Applications to open other apps you might want to test.

If you don't like the app, you can remove all the bits and pieces. The only app that I recommend to "clean" your Mac is AppCleaner. Any of the other cleaners often remove way too much and you don't know exactly what is being removed. Never use MacKeeper.
