I have a couple apps that are remote keyboards, iTap and Rowmote. I have tried emailing both of their technical supports, but no help.
I have a MacBook Pro hooked up to my HDTV as an external display. With the lid open, I can use either of these apps with no problems. But i want to use them with the lid closed. Using the wireless mighty mouse or keyboard, connected via Bluetooth, I can click the mouse or use the keyboard, and it will wake the MBP and the HDTV will show the screen. But these apps will not do that, to my knowledge. Is there any other way to accomplish this? My ultimate goal is to plop on the couch, MBP on, lid closed, and use my iPhone to wake the MBP, so I can use either of these two apps to do what I want to do. Can I hook my iPhone up to my MBP via Bluetooth and somehow get it to wake it up like my keyboard and mouse do? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
