Hello,

I'm new to the MacOS universe. ? Got my first MacOS device (MBA M1) a few weeks ago and beside a lightweight dev use case, I also would like to get some work done with the MBA in my ~ 250GB photo / video clips library accumulated over the last > 10 years.

With a proper app, I thought about a workflow to navigate through those files, quickly inspect the photo / video clip (.mov, .mp4), in case of further consideration, a way to mark ("star") it to quickly find it afterwards. Basically I would like to cut the library dramatically down for some sort of "best of" or similar.

Beside the managing workflow above, ideally I also then can do some lightweight photo editing within this app. E.g. mainly red eye correction, color adjustments, nothing fancy. The photos will then be used to order e.g. a photo book, order a printed landscape panorama shooting etc.

For the video clip part, these are a lot of short videos of my kids, where I would like to create some sort of "best of" DVD in 1080p for their grandparents.

Any recommendations for some tooling is highly appreciated. Ideally entry-level friendly :), must not be free (OSS), thus I'm willing to spend some money, if it improves my productivity for above.

Many thanks! The MBA M1 is awesome so far.

Mcscooby is correct, that program should do what you need with your photos.
you might have to import/export these individually but the functions
like aperture, light vignette adjustments are all there.

just the program is horrible on Mojave!
