I recently was playing with some apps trying to get them registered with my new install of Catalina. And one developer told me to uninstall the program and then reinstall from the Mac App Store. Obviously tossing just the app in the trash did not remove the old settings so I read through this: https://techbland.com/how-to-uninstall-application-in-macos-catalina/.
The last option in this article suggested CleanMyMac X, but unfortunately that includes a annual subscription. Can I ask indignantly, for a Utility that should not be used that often?? Anyway, I hate subscriptions for this type of thing. My favorite Windows Utility, Tune-Up Utilities went subscription (dumped) and 1 Password not only went subscription, but the older version does not include a browser extensions for Catalina unless you buy into their latest. I've dumped both of them, so you can honestly tell I do not prefer subscriptions. Exceptions would be for Anti-virus on the job 24/7. Ok, I can buy that. Anyway enough griping about subscriptions.
Ok so back to the the purpose of this thread. Can anyone recommend a good Program Remover for Catalina that does not want a subscription? Thanks!
