To make it short, I'm getting an iPod touch 4generation for Christmas.
I'll get it connected to iTunes and stuff in ten seconds flat. I'm a PC genius.

The thing is, I need app ideas for an eight/nine year old.
Every Christmas, we go up to my grandmother's cabin around 4 or 5 o'clock after presents, to hang out with our ENTIRE family. I will be seeing my cousin.

I have a little second cousin who is eight/nine years old, and who is attatched to me.

I need app ideas for her. I see her ALOT and that means that she will be playing my iPod ALOT.

I want to put some apps on there for her, seeing that I'm thirteen and she would probably get bored with my stuff right away.

I really have no idea what eight year olds like anymore. That was five years ago when I was that little.

Ideas. Please.

I love her ALOT and I'm doing this out of my own heart.
Not her's or her mother's or my mother's.

Thanks.

P.S. I'm already getting scoops for MYSELF lol. I love that app.

Is she hot? KIDDING KIDDING!!! Don't answer that! What's wrong with you? Anyway:

My 7 year old loves Dinner Dash and Wedding Dash and Cooking Dash. Simple games, easy to learn, but addictive.

Games I know of that are fun: Tiki Towers, Flight Control, Fruit Ninja, Cut the Rope, Slice It; all happen to be $1 -- the latter two might be a little hard, but maybe not.

Games I know that are fun, but not so sure for a 8 year old: Doodle Jump (or Papi Jump (same thing except worse graphics, less in depth, but free)), Fruit Ninja, Pocket Tanks (Multiplayer), FallDown. There are also some voice modifications apps that she might like.

Ideas

My kids love these apps I have loaded up on their iPod touch: Topple, Air Hockey, Peggle, Marble Mixer. If she's into Webkinz, there are a couple Webkinz game apps too that are good: Goober's Lab and Polar Plunge.

Hope this gives you some help...

If it's a new iPod touch: The Elements for iPhone 4.

If not: Wolfram|Alpha

If you read this far: Scribble, Doodle Jump, Mad Libs, Fruit Ninja, Push the Button, Goober's Lab (if she has Webkinz)

Lol, WolfRam Alpha.... Well, my 6 yr old sister likes using a few games by the company "donut games". Fun, cheap games. I actually have almost all of their games so I can personally say its fun. Pocket god might be fun, doodle jump is good. Papi Jump is free and came out way before anyone even thought of doodle jump. Get simple draw which is a free (and thankfully simple) drawing app. Pocket Frogs is fun but a little complex.... Topple and waterslide extreme are good too (ws extreme is free!). Mr space and Mr Ahh are fun too for kids....Oh, and get chop chop runner and chop chop ninja. Knights Onrush is very fun too. NinJump i think is still free and is fun. Well, thats it. If you have any questions, I'm here to help. Me and my 520+ apps in iTunes and 350+ apps on my iPod. :D:D

RhythmRacer is free, it's very fun... Shrek Karting isn't, but it's a good racing game. Maybe even Crash Kart Bandicoot 2 (never played it though)... Angry Birds, Monster Dash, Pinball HD(???), Topple (free), Sonic 1/2? Monopoly Worldwide? Uno? Pocket God? Just to name some, not entirely sure if they're all good for an 8 yo or not.

I can't see that the two of you would have much different tastes when it comes to a lot of game apps. Like Angry Birds, Flight Control, Fruit Ninja, etc. I'm in my 30s and those are my favorite games. This is an all ages show.

8-9 isn't that much of a difference from 13. You should like most of the same apps. For example, I'm 18 and my little cousin who is 7 likes to play Fruit Ninja (as do I).
