Does anyone know how to prevent interruption by other websites that automatically play their own audio while streaming music from an app on the same iPad? I don't see anything in IOS or Safari settings to prevent this. Maybe not possible.

Apps can come bundled with a Safari extension as long as it's within a predefined set of extension categories, one of which being content blockers. There's also page translators and others

Yeah, it's a bit of a bummer. Tidal has a very good music app for the iPad that facilitates Airplay audio streaming to my stereo system. But then while listening, the minute you use the same iPad to browse certain websites - boom, Tidal's music streaming is hijacked by that website's audio that you really don't want to hear.

I'm sure this happens to any music streaming app on the iPad.

Honestly don't think I've tried a website in a long, long time with autoplaying audio

Many, if not most, news websites like CNN seem to do that (auto play their audio). Don't mind that, just would like them not to auto interrupt already streaming app audio. Doesn't look possible, but not the worst problem in the world :) .

Not the case for news outlets in Denmark; Just opened a random article on CNN and it didn't happen for me there, but it was just a single article that didn't seem to have any audio/video content, but sure - iOS doesn't really support multiple simultaneous audio streams unless they're played by the same application

Audio auto play always happens to me at CNN. Maybe because I'm in the US.
