It appears like some of the apps on the AppStore are not getting the correct release date. For example, I read on here that Last.FM released an app so I went to check it out and sorted all iPhone apps by release date and it wasn't anywhere to be found on the first page. Doing a search for Last.FM and finding the app description page shows that it was released on July 5th???

I've noticed other apps have been like this too. Especially with the fact that someone said a ton of apps have been added daily, yet sorting by Release Date shows that only like 10 or so apps have been released each day since Friday.

I noticed this too. Frustrating since I'm obsessed with the App Store and am always looking out for the newest stuff, I still have to go scrolling through every page anyway.

Seriously Apple really needs to create a 'new' category where new apps stay for like 3 days and make that accessible on the iphone!

Surprisingly, this is still occurring. As of now, there are no apps with a release date of 7/28 under "New Apps" yet there are 5 under "Productivity."

Just click on All iPhone Applications in the left sidebar and make sure it is sorted by Release Date. There are about two and a half pages of new/updated apps today.
