Anyone else noticing their app’s Documents & Data ballooning > 1GB? This has been happening on Safari, Instagram, YouTube and others when they used to be a few hundred megabytes. I’ve noticed this since iOS 17.1 but it’s possible it was happening since 17.0…The only way to fix this is to either re-install the app or clear the app cache if there is an option, but it re-accumulates again very quickly.

I logged a feedback report just in case it’s a bug but curious if its happening to anyone else?

That may be true but doesn’t seem normal to me. I’ve not seen some of these apps go at the top of my storage usage before.

What apps in particular? I haven't seen this on M1 12.9, cellular Mini 6, or 14 Pro Max.
Specifically YouTube, Safari and Instagram. They used to always be around 300-500mb, but now they seem to be creeping up higher and higher.

M1 12.9 on 17.1 - I don't use Instagram but I have Safari at 654MB and YouTube at 300MB but size will depend on usage (I use both regularly).
I as well and I’ve tried re-installing the app which cause the size to go back down and then goes up very quickly after a few websites and videos.

Just haven’t seen this behaviour in previous iOS versions.
