Currently I have a registered account with Apple Itunes Store. A friend gifted me a Itunes Gift Card and I would like to use it. What I'm wondering is the following: will Apple charge the Gift Card or the Credit Card? How can I make it so that it will use up the Gift Card before they charge the credit card.

Thank you,
Donald.

In my experience, when I've entered an iTunes gift card (by the link on the front page of the iTunes store, not during purchase) it will default to the gift card until it's been used in full, then revert back to my credit card.

Like in most purchases with a gift card, the gift card is used first and if there is any balance left then the next payment method is used for that left over amount.

It won't charge your credit card until the gift card reaches zero, don't worry.
