Hey,

I just jailbroke 3.1.2 using blackra1n yesterday. I installed biteSMS first and then noticed that 4 apps on my first home screen page were missing. At the time, I couldn't remember what they were, but now I realized that the App Store is missing. I searched for it but it didn't come up, so now I'm really worried. I noticed it because I got an e-mail from an app saying that there was a great update today and went to download it, and it wasn't there. Does anyone know how to get it back or how it happened?

Thanks,

That's very weird.. Have u ever jailbroke before??
The reason I ask is because let's say you used categories. And u had an app in categories and upgraded your phone.. The categories do not transfer over but the files do.. Keepin the applications in a folder that can not be seen..
I would also go into settings and try reset home screen.. Or I would actually go in iTunes.. Unsyncg the applications that's gone.. And then resync..

try holding your finger on any app. when all the apps start shaking, scroll through the pages and see if it's somewhere on the pages. This happened to me too and this fixed it. It was just on a seperate page by itself and didn't show up until I moved. Hope this helps

Unfortunately none of the above worked. The hold icon to shake thing didn't change anything and the Reset Home Screen Layout one only left me with Messages, Photos, Camera, YouTube, Stocks, Weather, Voice Memos, Notes, Clock, Settings, and iTunes. No App Store (important), Mail (also very important) and maybe some other things that I can't recall.

Do they show up in itunes layout manager? Do they show up in search?

Install SBSettings in Cydia. Open it and go to more. From there go to hide icons and make sure the switch next to them is on.

If you don't see them there then download iFile and go down to the / directory and then go into Applications. You'll see all the default apps for your iPhone. Check to see if the app store is in there.
