I've been reading conflicting information on a few different websites. Will my App Store purchases work on my phone if I jailbreak? Are there certain apps that won't work? Can I still add app store apps in addition to apps via installer and cydia? I haven't jailbroken before (obviously) and really I'm trying to determine if there are any cons to it as it seems it will add a lot of nice functionality.

All phone functions work exactly as it should as if it were not jailbroken, this includes downloading/installing ANY appstore apps. Jailbreaking has no effect whatsoever on the ability of the iphone to function normally. This is of course speaking from experience of my 2.1, jailbroken 3G.

If you're a Windows user, my guide might be of some use to you :)

I havent seen any cons to it so far. Every app has worked and I benefit from advanced camera, Video recorder, MMS, background apps. I couldnt go back to be honest.

Everything works absolutely fine.

If it didn't, the devs would change QuickPwn/PwnageTool/WinPwn to make sure that it did work and stopped any big errors (like the old YouTube errors etc.)

Just go ahead :)

As well as your normal official apps running, you can have unofficial running side-by-side :)

Thanks for all the info guys! I went ahead and did it last night and I am very happy. IntelliScreen was one of the main apps I did it for, not to mention PDAnet and a few others. Thanks again!
