App store auto update issue

Hey guys need some help

I turned on auto updates in settings and put my ipad in sleep at night but my game was not updated even till morning on its own

Why is that ... is auto update broken ?
As yu can see i have switched on the update button in app store settings and even restarted the ipad but still apps dont auto update
I still have 4 apps updates that are not auto updated
Do i have to switch on the app option too in the pic ??

No. Your expectation is wrong. Auto update means that updates are installed automatically and periodically, not necessarily at the first opportunity or when you think they should be. If you never look at the App Store, you will probably have the latest versions within a few days.

I guess manual update it is then for me
