In April 2014 (when we had iOS 7), I reported to Apple about a bug in the App Store, which was happening on my iPad 2, however, this bug is STILL present today in all versions of iOS 8.
These are the details of the bug:
Its when you are writing a review for an app. In the box which pops up and you enter the text, the box does not scroll down as you actually enter the text. This means that if you write a lengthy review and the text reaches down to where the keyboard is, the text starts to be hidden behind the keyboard so you can't actually see the text as you are writing it. This bug has been present since iOS 7 and was NOT present in iOS6.
I first reported this bug in April 2014 and the bug is STILL present today on iOS 8.3.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the App Store on an iPad 2
2. Choose any app which you have installed but have NOT yet reviewed
3. Select the 'Write Review' option
4. In the resulting pop up box, start writing a lengthy review until the text reaches the on screen iOS keyboard
5. When text reaches keyboard, continue to enter text
6. Text then starts to be hidden behind the keyboard as you type.
Expected Results:
I expected the box, where the text is actually written, to scroll as you are entering the text so that as the text is entered, the screen follows along with the text.
Actual Results:
The screen does not scroll along with the text. This means that the screen stays still but the text gets lower and lower until it reaches the on screen iOS keyboard. Once it does indeed reach the keyboard, if you carry on typing, the text gets inputted but it goes behind the keyboard so you cannot see what you are typing. The only way to see what you are typing is to drop the keyboard to see what is behind it and then bring it back up again to carry on.
Version:
iOS 8
Notes:
I have attached 2 screenshots of the bug. In the screenshot 'App Store Bug 1' you will see the last sentence of the review says 'a highly original game'. This text can ONLY be viewed if you tap and drag the screen up to pull up the text. If you then release all fingers from the screen, the text then falls behind the keyboard as in the screen shot 'App Store Bug 2'. When you carry on typing in your review, the text gets inputted behind the keyboard so that you cannot see the text as you are tapping the letters on the keyboard. You have to keep pulling up the screen to reveal the text behind the keyboard.
App Store Bug 1
App Store Bug 2
Configuration:
This always happens on the iPad 2 in iOS 8.3 when you are writing a review of an App on the Apple App Store.
Can anyone with an iPad of some kind, please confirm if this is STILL happening in iOS 9?!
