Not sure if this is the proper forum for this, but I had a question regarding app rankings. A new health and fitness app, 'Fitness XT' came out that is #1 ranked in the category and I believe one of the top 200 overall. I read some reviews (already 199 reviews posted in a matter of days), which said that they artificially:confused: bumped up the app to remain ranked that high.

How does an app that was out for only few days (which is not advertised on other outside websites through google searches, beat iFitness and other well-established apps in 'grossing' rankings)?

You just need to find a lot of people that buy the app :D
There are some companies that buy their own app in mass to bump the rank (and leave a lot of favorable reviews).
