Everytime I want to check for an update, I have to open the App Store and do it manually, while, before, the badge icon would show me how many apps do I have to update.
A restart didn't work.
What would have caused the problem and how can I fix it?
iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 13.6.1

Funny you say that. I'm not sure it was ever in Background App Refresh though. Without changing any settings, I started getting badge notifications for the App Store app updates in 13.6, but they disappeared again in 13.6.1.

I wasn't sure either if it was or not before, do you have enabled the option where apps are updated automatically?

Yes I do, but I just remembered I recently re-enabled it. I'll turn it off and see if the badges come back over the next couple of days.
