I have been using my Visa debit Card on the App store since day one of the ipad release.

I have used it Via my iMac and via the iPad app store.

6 days ago my card began to be declined by both Apps.

I have checked with my bank and the card is fine, I have money in my account, yet whenever I try to purchase an app I am told sorry but your payment method is declined.

What can I do about this.

Have you tried simply removing it and re-entering it?

I had mine pop up declined once but the window with the new terms wouldn't stay up for me to "agree" too. Once i got that sorted all was good.

But i'd remove it and see how that goes - or buy a gift card and see if that works.

Ok I removed the card and then re inputted the card data and it still say's payment method declined.

I am really confused why this is as I said my bank have confirmed the card is Ok, plus I went shopping earlier and used the card in the shop.

Hmmmmm

Yep done all this...

I have just Emailed Apple support, I hope they can tell me what is wrong.

I used the same card to purchase my Spotify premium account only 6 day's ago.

It is lucky I bough all the good apps whilst it was still working but now i want to purchase an app for my toddler who is freaking out because he can not play the advertised train shape matching app... :)

And which app is that?

Oh, that's cute. Thank you! (Sometimes I wonder if the iPad is mine or my three year old's.)

Trust me I know exactly how you feel...

My 2yr old calls the iPad a 'Miaow Mioaw' as the app he got was "First Words Animals" and it has a picture of a cat on the app :)

Not sure who your card holder is, but mine has the ability to not only block certain types of stores, but certain merchants and locations.

They say this is to protect me, but it really protects them as electronic purchases are projects by Fed Reg E and we as consumers are not liable for fraudulent charges.

For instance, I spend $150 weekly at the grocery store, if I do $300 I get a decline because that is 'out of norm'. I HATE this feature. It is a pain to call as my groceries are melting. I've had it adjusted.

This information may not be available to a front line call rep as it doesn't BLOCK the card en total. Call back and make sure you didn't somehow trigger a fraud algorithm. My holder calls it a FEW block, (Fraud Early Warning).

Double check that the zip code is correct. Most cross reference that for acceptance.
