Hey all,

I finally finished my second application and submitted it to the app store. I received my rejection letter because I did not have the Export Law documents completed even though I used built-in SDK encryption. The SDK encryption methods have passed export compliance and Apple has even stated that you only need to have those documents if you implement your own encryption functions.

The only reason they knew I was using encryption is because I had the word 'encryption' in my Application Description.

Just wondering if any other developer has had a similiar rejection. Also, how long, on average, does it take for appreview@apple.com to return an email? They have yet to reply to mine. If you're interested in the emails that have gone back and forth with myself and the App Store team, read here.

Thanks.

Change your description..do something interesting to make the binary different and resubmit. It'll take a week and they'll approve it. It's pretty normal for this sort of thing to happen, sadly. :( I am nearly certain Apple outsources at least a large portion of app approvals and the outsourced folks only know to follow a decision tree strictly.
