Seems relevant at the time of writing. I’m interested to know what you want - not what you think Apple would, will or would be forced to do.

Comment about what you like and/or dislike about the way Apple handles the App Store, app installs and app updates on iPhone.

At this point I’d really like them to enforce the app update rules so that developers actually have to mention what fixes went into an update rather than saying- “Bug fixes and performance enhancements” on every update.

Why do people always talk about “AppStores” and not just apps? Why is no one talking about the possibility of just downloading an app from a website and installing it just like you do on OS X/windows/Linux?

I think we’ve gone past that era of downloading non vetted apps to be honest. I’m more likely to download an app from a curated store than some random website where I don’t know who is coding and what is being coded. That’s an insane level security risk for me.

Curated by whom? I honestly wouldn’t trust any other AppStore managed by a random company. Maybe well established brands could pull it off like Epic or Steam.

Sideloading enables someone to choose to download the app from any random website, if they wish to take that risk.

I've been burned enough times from "updating" an app only to find out it's much worse or sometimes doesn't even work properly anymore - with no way to downgrade back to the previous version, that I stopped upgrading apps long ago.
In my book — if an app works fine — NEVER upgrade it..

My wish for the AppStore: have the ability to re-install a previous version of the app instead of playing Russian roulette with the new one
