Running 10.15.5 on MacBook Pro. The other day I was in the administrator account and the App Store icon in the dock showed 3 updates were available. These were for Numbers, Pages and Keynote. I did the updates and the icon no longer shows updates available nor are there any if I open the App Store. The applications have July 10, 2020 dates in the Applications folder i.e. four days ago so I assume these are up to date.

However, in the other account on the machine the icon is showing the same 3 updates as being available and asking me to sign in with my Apple ID. I haven't done that as I am trying to understand what is going on. The same up to date applications should be available in this other account.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Any suggestions? I tried rebooting and the updates are still showing as available in the other account.

Shouldn't the applications in the administrator account apply to all other accounts? Both accounts appear to show the same list in the Applications folder.

I was afraid of messing things up but will probably do so just to clear the notifications. Today I checked by opening one of the programs that supposedly needed updating (Keynote) in both the admin account and the account that is giving the update notification and it is of course the same version available to both.
