Are the app updates intentionally being delayed? I keep checking once or twice a day and I dont see anything come up but a few days later 10 app updates show up out of nowhere and show release date as 2 days, 3 days ago etc.

Is this a bug? or if it is intentional..what's the point?

Can't say I've noticed that really. For the most part a few updates here and there throughout almost any given day are coming through on my iPhone when I check for them.

Usually doing the pull down to refresh thing (pull all the way down and hold for a second) on the updates tab of the App Store forces a refresh.

But to answer your question, I think updates and the store are (mildly but irritatingly) a bit unreliable for now.

Unless I pull down to refresh I don’t see updates when I go into app store.
This was not the case in iOS 10 for me. iOS 11 app updates rarely show up even if I force close and open again. I just tried pulling down like you suggested and voila! there are 18 apps waiting to be updated!

It's either that or closing the App Store app and opening it again basically.

At least for me, and throughout the entire beta period until 11.1b5 now, closing/quitting it and opening it rarely finds all the updates actually available. Rarely any for that matter. I reported it in a later pre-11 GM beta when it seemed clear it wasn’t being treated and it was marked as a duplicate.

It’s, eh, whatever. A mild irritant, like I said. I really should report it again but none of the niggles left at this point bother me enough to expend the effort if I’m honest about it.
