App switcher idea

The "cover flow" view for apps in the switcher is cute (I like the bigger size) but I'm finding it's not as useful as the old "card" view.
Example - sometimes I'm working in an app and I want to refer to something in an app I just used without completely going back to that app. Card view showed the whole page of the previous app. Cover flow only shows partial.
So, I'm writing an email and want to refer back to the article in safari I was just on to check spelling of a street name.
Cover flow cut off the safari page I was on - couldn't see the street name. Card view was better for such cases.
Or for checking a phone number you want to check, etc.
How about a toggle for choice of cover flow or card view? Maybe too much to ask of the OS…

I doubt they'll ever give us a toggle. But I haven't gotten used to the new switcher. I think it's poor design, and feels very "un-Apple" (it reminds me of HTC Sense from 2011 or something).

As a number of threads in the topic have mentioned, it would be great if it wasn't changed or if there was an option to change it, but it's not how it is unfortunately.

Funny, I did the same thing but I'm only on day two of iOS 9 and hadn't thought of that until you mentioned it.
