App that imitates a DSLR?

The app description says that "You NEED a digital camera ... This is NOT your iPhone/iPod touch camera!"

I wonder, though. There are apps like Slow Shutter that allow for long exposure times. It seems like you could run Holographium on an iPad while using one of these long-exposure apps on an iPhone.

I tried using Slow Shutter cam but it came out really blurry. Maybe I'm doing something wrong...I guess the correct question would be, "are there any apps that imitate a long exposure effect?"

It came out blurry because you were probably holding the phone when you took the long exposure image. Long exposure images only work when you've got a tripod, or in the case of the iPhone, some way to prop it up. Unless you can keep COMPLETELY still (have fun doing this for over a minute lol), there's no way you'll not get a blurry image unless you have a tripod.

There was an app called camera+ that allowed you the change shutter speed, etc., but it got pulled because it used the volume buttons or something along those lines.

I miss out on camera+, and I have been looking for an app that would allow you to make the shutter speed faster or slower, and maybe change the aperture. But I haven't been able to find one.

thats a shame...well I plan to get the dock so maybe that will work lol. I need the dock anyways. But if I use the dock and then use Slow Shutter, you think it will come out ok?

Well a "long exposure" implies that the picture will take a longer time to be captured, so if you are taking the picture hand-held, then all of the movement that your hand is causing while the picture is being taken will show up in the final picture as a blurry photograph. If you use the dock, you'll also need something tall enough to place it on to take your photos, and if you leave it still while your photos are being taken then it should come out okay.
