I'm looking for an app and I don't even know what search terms to use, so I figured I'd just stop here and see if anyone knows if this kind of app exists.

The basic idea is that I'd like an app to automatically dial a phone number when the phone is in a certain geolocation.

A possible use is when I'm driving home and I'm within 5 miles of my house to automatically call my home automation software to tell the house to turn on lights or any type of prep for me arriving.

A second use would be to autodial the GSM codes that turn on and off call forwarding. When I head up to the mountains to a friends house who has no cell coverage I'd like to have the phone call the GSM "turn on forwarding" number when I'm on the road up to the mountains and then turn it back off when I'm back.

I've tried using the "auto forward when out of network" option, however since AT&T is spotty even in town, random calls will be forwarded when I'm in town and want them to go to voice mail.

Any ideas on apps that exist that would solve either of these problems?

It's not possible for any application to make a call. The best it can do is open the phone app with a specified number: you still have to hit the call button...
