I'm a pediatric resident and in the nursery, it's often necessary to know the exact hours of life of a baby (because it determines whether bilirubin levels are normal or too elevated). I was wondering if there was an app where I could punch in the date of birth and time, and the current date/time and know the hours in between? Not a big deal, but would be nice to have...

I find it slightly shocking that there isn't a piece of equipment in the nursery that already does this for you.

/Oh, and to answer your question: no, I'm unaware of such an app.

There is an app called LifeTimer that can do this.
While it gets the job done, it is kind of sluggish for this kind of app.
The icons are not the best of art... and a few minor bugs that the developer never bothered to fix (no response whatsoever).

I've used this website for similar types of needs:

timeanddate.com

...with hours/minutes/seconds fields.

It won't keep the info stored, unfortunately, but you can bookmark the site to your Home Screen.

I also find it slightly shocking that someone would rely on a piece of software on an iPhone more than a simple, yet quality, time piece that does not crash, ever.
