App to cycle though open apps?

Is there such a thing or is it not even possible?
For instance, if I am using the twitteriffic app to jump to say, email and then jump to ebay and then back to twitteriffic without having to "load/login" each time? (like tab+alt in windows)

Im new to iPhone and curious.
Any help appreciated

This isn't possible. When you leave an app it closes down completely. You cannot run multiple apps at the same time.

What he said. Only one is open at a time, which is why the "fake" push server is being developed for stuff like AIM. If all these apps remained open without doing a Command-Q, you'd lose your battery in 30 minutes!
