Does anybody know if there is an app for the iphone where we can save music and just play it offline?

Basically like what old mp3 players used to do, where I can save music and make playlists and just play them whenever.

At the moment I just use playlists on Youtube I have made, but this isn't the easiest for example when I'm in a no wifi area, then I'm using data to always play the songs.

I don't want to get a subscription to Spotify, because alot of the songs I listen to are remixes that are not even available on Spotify.

For example, the old way I would do it just download the mp3's from youtube, and then put them onto my ipod player, something like that but for my iphone so i can play it from there

I keep everything locally through iTunes sync. But you need a computer to assemble your collection.

To name a few:

- MusicSense (free, no ads, it bit unclear when your songs are downloaded though when you saved them to your favorites, database is a bit limited compared to YouTube, Spotify and such)
- Trebel Music (US only, with ads but free and offline)

Back in April '16 I also posted this list in which I also indicated which ones had offline options. Some of them are free (if still available).

Sometimes you also see 3rd party YouTube downloader apps in the store but there are officially not allowed to download songs.

Just search the App Store for "Download Manager" or something similar. There are plenty of free apps where you can download mp3 or other audio files and play them anywhere. Some even let you connect to some cloud accounts to access music.
