I'm trying to find app that I could easy as possible to scan paper documents with my iPhone and save them to a directory on iCloud or on Dropbox.
I know that I can scan documents with notes but I don't want all of my documents to save there so I need something what I could use to scan documents to cloud and then move them somewhere safe.

You can scan documents in the Files app and save them directly to iCloud folders.

Dropbox itself has this feature.

Open the app, press the big blue + button in the center (at the bottom).

You can also do this with the Notes app. Long press the Notes app icon > Scan Document. This also works for the Files app icon as well.

Or from within Notes, tap the paperclip icon.

Add to what's been listed already, One Drive, Google Drive, Adobe Scan, Readdle Documents, Microsoft Lens, M365 Copilot. Just about anything file related has a scanner these days.

Old thread on this.

I tested Files.app and it seemed to work. Has anybody notice any difference about scan quality between these different apps?

Yeah. Lots of options nowadays with seamless integration, which is very nice.

However, I’ve been sticking to what I started with (many moons ago)...

One day I’ll probably move to the integrated function. 😊
