I'm having a recurring issue when updating a couple specific apps, specifically the Yelp and OpenTable apps.
When updating apps as usual, these two will display the normal status circle as if they are downloading/installing on the App Store update page, but will never finish and transition to 'open'. The app icon never transitions to the status 'pie' animation, the 'old' version of the app remains usable, and the App Store app continues to display the red '1' badge.
Quitting the App Store app does not do anything. Quitting the apps in question does not do anything. Shutting the phone down and restarting results in the App Store app still showing the badge and complete status circle, but the app icons themselves are greyed out and unusable. The only way I've found to fix it is to delete and re-download the apps every time they need to be updated.
Again, this is only occurring with the Yelp and OpenTable apps (out of the >100 on my phone), and it has happened every single update that they've had since at least iOS 11 (I can't say with absolute certainty that this started with the update to 11, but I believe so).
Any ideas?
