I was wondering if anyone else was running into the following issue.

When you hit the update all button on the App Store, the apps attempt to start to download, but then the update button shows back up. You have to attempt to download the update many times before the download actually starts.

Anyone else?

Same issue on 10.1.1. Seems to be a server side issue. Noticed it on 10.1 and 10.0.3 as well. My old iPhone 4 on 7.1.2 is also having the issue.

This has been happening for awhile now (on all sorts of versions of iOS 10). A fresh install didn't fix the issue so it's definitely a sever issue.

Been going on at times even back in iOS 9 days: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/app-store-app-update-issues.1983664/

As well as since a day ago as well with iOS 10: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/app-updates-not-working-properly.2012556/

How long is "a while?" I just noticed this tonight.

Well, only reason I ask is because my apps don't want to update whatsoever.

Same issue here on my 7 Plus and iPad Mini 4 with iOS 10.1.1. Seems to be systemic, yet the System Status page hasn't been updated at all despite the fact this has been happening for 12+ hours for me.

The system status page is never updated. There has been an iCloud email push issue for 4+ weeks now, but that has never been updated.

It has been going on for months now.

Well, to be fair, not really continuously or even close to it, not really affecting everyone or even a whole lot perhaps.

But still, Apple hardly ever updates the status page, and when they do its after the issue has been going on for some time and then they states "only affecting less than 1% of users".

That is certainly true as far as the system status page goes.

Been going on daily on my iPhone 6 with iOS 10.1.1 since late last week. I think the only time it lasted this long was back in iOS 9.3.3 days. Another iPhone 6 in the household doesn't really seem to be experiencing this either at all or much, just like it wasn't back in iOS 9 days.

I'm on 10.1.1 (iPhone 6s) and ran into this problem lately. Sometimes one app will eventually download/install after a while but the majority of them fail and the update button comes back - very annoying. I've reached out to Apple support previously when Limit Ad Tracking (under privacy) caused issues with the App store but their solution is always restoring the phone which hasn't fixed the issue.

This has been going on for me most of the time since ios 10 dropped. I noticed the change either that day or the next, whenever I first attempted to update anything after it came out.

I do notice that if it presents with an app appearing to download and then changing to the cloud icon, it will eventually finish loading the update if I just ignore it. But as usual, don't update an app if you will need it soon.

I'm now having this problem on iTunes and on the Mac App Store as far as pressing the update button. I have to press it many times.

Same issue here and also 8392 errors when updating apps in iTunes. The iOS update bug has been happening for me since iOS 10 and the iTunes bug for about 8-9 months. Reported to Apple numerous times.

Sometimes I just hit update all it and does what it is supposed to do. Other times, it just sits there and I have to tap it a few times. It sure would be nice to have the simple things work 100%!

Same issue on my 7 plus, work 5s and ipad pro . So it does look like a server side problem.

Also i use 3 apple id's due to stupid country restrictions of certain apps i use, and for all Id's it is the same issue, does not look like it is apple id linked.

Ours have been doing this for several weeks. My husband has 26 apps waiting to update. He has an ip6 on iOS 10.0.

I have an ip7+ on the latest iOS. Sometimes I have to mash the "update" button 6-7 times before an app will update.

First world issue, but frustrating nonetheless.
