App updates after iOS update

Why is it that updating iOS always triggers a bunch of App Updates that were not there before the update?

If you are talking about the day of an update: The OS update just triggered the check for updates. If you had manually checked before the update, they would have still been there. Just pull to refresh.

If you are talking about 3-5 days later, those are probably developers patching to address things that happened with the latest update
