hi, hope someone can help.

i recently reimaged my leopard machine. since then, when i check for updates on applications (mostly free) it tells me there are some. i go to download them, and get the message...
"<account name> has no updates currently availible. To check for updates on another account, sign in with that account."

has anyone have this happen to them? and if so, whats the fix. its driving me bonkers

Can you update you apps using the Wi-Fi on your iPhone? Does it attempt to use a different username than iTunes? I regularly get similar symptoms to yourself - it seems to be caused by the fact that I have bought my apps (even free ones class as being bought) between 2 different iTunes accounts / log ins

When I update directly using my iPhone it gives me the username and prompts for a password for each account, this should help identify if this is the case for you also.

I have contacted iTunes to see if my accounts can be merged, but have been told this is not possible - which I think is a bit crap....

hmmm, at least i'm not the only one.

as for downloading on wifi, no i havent tried it cause reading threads, doing it that way my cause long bakups, so been using itunes lately. but before that i was doing it over the air. so you may be on to something, just which i knew which apps i did which way.
