I do not think that there is an app out there like this, but if any people would know, they would be within this community.

I'm attempting to figure out what is uploading and being downloaded randomly on my Mac m1. I know that the iCloud is forever trying to sync, which of course Apple tells me they are working on it, but have no solution at the moment. Other than that though, I am trying to figure out what is showing when the Mac is uploading or downloading something from the internet. I can't seem to find any apps which do this. Is there a way to tell?

You can also use activity monitor, sort by bytes sent or received to identify the offending process.

I think the little snitch is what I was looking for. I'm not entirely sure why it needs to know my location, but I think it is showing me what is going up and down now and using my internet connection. That is all I wanted to know - which apps exactly where using the bandwidth. Thanks!!
