I know that to send a text from the US to Canada it's like 25 cents per message. Other countries could be more.

ok first my smarta$$ response: Have you looked into mail? I hear it's free and can send text to anyone.

Now for the serious response: Until we get PNS from Apple we probably won't be seeing any IM style clients that are truly free to use and useful.

I remember for t-mo, international texts cost 2x-3x more than a domestic text. t-mo charges $0.15 - $0.20 so international texts costs around $0.40 - $0.60.

I don't know for at&t though.

ehh just do a quick search on google if you want to know the exact cost.

and no, AIM does not allow for international texting. I've tried it several times and I'm pretty sure none of the texts went through.

"you could use e-mail" thanks, i didn't realize i had internet on my phone
"yes most carriers charge txts" thanks, completely didn't read my thread title

there are ways to not pay for text, such as im clients. you can send txt from im clients for free, i do it all the them on yahoo.

why cant yahoo make an app on the iphone? whats the difference?

there isn't one, the question was simply, is there one? mobile chat said it would do it.

You could use your own initiative and check the app store yourself, so you wouldn't get stupid replies. Then again maybe you are just too stupid.

You're the one who didn't give much info at the beginning. We're telling you that there's no way right now. We gave you alternatives instead.
