I'm in a Discussion thread in announcements regarding the latest Firmware updates on older AP but thought to create a sole thread for perpetuity in case there are others affected. Also, if this rather belongs in the Developer Forum, pls feel free to move it there mods.
It's happened before that odd version updates have appeared (alongside official releases) on my iP for available updates to the APP2. Please note that I never signed up for any Beta programs on any devices and only the AirPods seem affected.
So I've just contacted AC. Initially they said they don't provide active support to beta versions, which is all fine and good but doesn't address the issue that it is being pushed onto my AirPods. Apparently the beta 7B13d that appeared after being on 7A305, isn't even the latest beta version.
After some screen sharing, looking in various settings, including privacy, no hint of developer Mode could be found. This was expected from my end. Communication with next tier support also didn't see an immediate solution. They did however say they were aware of the issue.
So all that's left is a suggested Genius appointment to the nearest Apple Store, to inspect the devices by a tech. I'll update further once I've gone there.
