Not only does the iPhone not support copy and paste, but apparently MobileMe has a few problems with it too. :p Try going to your address book and copying a phone number. Can't even select the damn thing.

Apple: please fire your MobileMe developers, they're insufficient.

PS: Yeah, I'm being harsh. As a web developer myself, I can't get over this nonsense.

Try right-clicking on the number. It's not ideal, but it works.

Doesn't work for me. Not in Firefox 3 it doesn't. However, what did wind up working for me is moving further left of the phone number where the cursor is no longer that "I" shape, then dragging from there. What the.. :confused:

I was just playing with it (Safari on Windows). It only supports "phone number" selection from left to right and not right to left. I think other fields go both ways. If you go into EDIT you can select both ways. Not sure if I have seen this before.

Also, I tested with IE 7 and it does not have this problem. So maybe just a browser problem.
