Hi,

I've noticed that on my new MacBook Pro M1 Pro that the automatic transition from "light" to "dark" mode does not work. I've had this problem creep up in the past on my previous Intel MacBook Pro, but it was fixed. Not sure if this is an issue with Monterey, or the new hardware, or both.

Anyone esle experience this or know of a fix?

Now that you mention it, I noticed that my M1 13" MBP does this too. However everything is in dark mode except for the menu bar for some reason. I noticed this today as well on a 14" display model. If I changed the background to a light color the menu bar turned white, making the notch visible, a darker wall paper and the bar was dark. I noticed it after going to Monterey but it could have been before, never paid much attention.

EDIT: It seems that when Monterrey installed it defaulted to the "light" version of the Monterrey wall paper causing this issue. I put it to dark and its got a darker menu bar. Its not black but its darker. I miss Mojave menu bar.

But that doesn't explain all the apps not following the change to dark mode at sunset. Everything stays bright. Its definitely a bug of some sort.
