Probably not this year. Normally they'd already given us a first gift as a taster. I suspect the U2 album ate the budget.

Hey, I'm still playing Mr. Crab from last year! That got an update to support Metal too (on a serious note, that's totally the worst game to use that technology for, haha!)
True but for me, Rachel's Holiday by Marian Keyes and The Pillars of The Earth by Keith Folliett aren't exactly exciting! Nevertheless the minions from despicable me videos were great and so was Home Alone! But you shouldn't complain about something that you got for free.

I'm still going with the idea that they're ditching the app this year and just doing it on the store. Just like how they did this years iTunes Festival. That way they don't have to deal with people complaining that they have to have iOS 8, that they can't download stuff because they don't have enough space, and all the other stuff. Some of it is stuff we'd rather just keep in iTunes.
Considering how much people bitched and complained over FREE gifts last year if I was Apple I wouldn't do that again. EVER.
I really love that app. I'm still playin Sonic Jump from two years ago! Let's hope people don't complain about GET gifts this year.
It's not exactly Apple's 12 Days of Christmas, but the Waterlogue app featured in Apple's "Start Something New" campaign is temporarily free. --Only through the Apple Store app though.
