I need some help understanding Apple's 2FA. Apologies for the simple question, I am really not familiar with this.

What happens if I am travelling overseas and my iPhone is lost or stolen? How would I be able to log back into my Apple/iCloud account if my Trusted Device isn't with me?

Oh I see, thank you. So as long as you have several trusted phone numbers registered, there should be no way to get locked out of one's account even if all your trusted devices are stolen at once?

That’s right. You asked a good question but Apple has thought through the scenarios.

Thank you Chabig 💕 I was a bit concerned about it. 😄 So it's safe to upgrade to Apple 2FA basically then as Apple have thought through most common scenarios. Thanks!

Does anyone have any idea how many trusted devices and trusted phone numbers can be registered? Is there a limit?

OK so I updated my account and activated 2FA. Thanks @chabig !

I set up one of my trusted phone numbers to be my own iPhone. However thinking about it, is that a security flaw and a mistake? If my iPhone is stolen and that number gets the 2FA code, is that a problem?
