Hey fellow friends,

I am thinking about purchasing Apple's AirPods, but I noticed that they were released back in September of 2016. Do you think they will release a 2nd generation of Airpods since September is its anniversary? If so, what improvements do you think Apple will implement in them? Or what would you like to see?

The AirPods were never released in September 2016. They were announced in September 2016 and set to launch in October 2016. They were delayed due to a manufacturing defect and initially relaunched in December 2016. There would be a highly unlikely chance of a second generation of AirPods launching in 2017.

They can't even keep the current ones in stock. Usually Apple waits into their product is in the corner of the store collecting dust and sales go down to practically zero before they come out with a new revision.

While too big for my ears, the AirPods are f***ing amazing.
I had to return them but would not hesitate to recommend to anyone who can comfortably wear the standard wired ones.
