iPhone X Apple Alarm Silencing

I use the Apple Alarm on my iPhone X just like many other people to wake up in the morning. I am running into an issue which may be attributed to the Alarm App. I have a telephone App for work where I can answer telephone calls for work throughout the night on the nights that I am on call. However on the nights that I am on call, the telephone app gets suppressed. I was speaking with someone today and I was told that the Alarm App can suppress apps when the alarm is active. Is this true and is there a way to find out if there are alarm apps out there that do not suppress third party telephone apps?

I have a voip app and will try this tomorrow to see if it’s indeed true.

The Voip App provider finally has concluded that the App for some reason is losing the connection to the SIP server. and it appears to affect the 8 and 10 when the app is idle for a while.
