So, with Apple sucking lately (I google "When Tim Cook leaves rumours" once in a while), I wonder if there are similar electronic companies, meaning innovative products, good design, caring for customers etc. Maybe just a small start-up you've heard about somewhere, cause Apple also started small.

I'm happy with my iPhone X, my 2018 MBP while not perfect is a fine computer and overall, being in the Apple ecosystem is superior then anything else.
So what is Apple sucking at lately?
I'm not saying everything is rainbows and unicorns, but I am disagreeing that they're awful.
For me, Apple does suck at Mac hardware. They simply don’t care about Mac line-up. Nearly the whole range filled with underpowered, overheating computers. There happened tons of issues while trying to make them always thinner. It’s so absurd, iPhone gets thicker and thicker but nobody cares then what is the point making Macs always thinner. Even iMac is thin that can’t handle the power hungry newest chips at all.
They also started to cut from internals to make higher profit. Look at flexgate, MacBook Air webcam etc.
People sure like to whine.
Steve Jobs failed to deliver a PowerBook G5 and had to walk that back.
After Apple announced that Newton would be spun off to a separate company Steve walked that back.
White iPhone 4 was almost a year late.
Ti laptops had faulty hinges and peeling paint.
Apple isn’t perfect, but they have more successes than failures.
If you want more love for the Mac get a million friends to write to Tim Cook and lobby for that.
Go to the Apple website and give product feedback about things you find failing. Several times after I pointed out issues I’ve been contacted by Apple engineers working to fix these issues asking me for more information.
By the way, Tim Cook was recently re-elected with better than 99% of the vote at the shareholders meeting. Less than 1% voted against him.

My son and I were in a shopping mall the other day. He was interested in a gaming notebook. Sure, the specs were impressive. But a slight press with a finger on the top casing was enough for him to decide that this was really a very inferior product. The plastic deflected badly, even with a mild bit of pressure. It looked and felt cheap. He ended up with a pre-owned 15" 2015 MacBook Pro.

For one thing, I think many like myself feel they suck or are awful *compared* to how simpler things used to feel and work in the past. A lot of subjectivity there of course, and of course as we expect an os/iOS to do more and more each year while apple attempts to remove/simply/minimize more and more the UIX/input/interface jacks/ports/methods, there’s bound to be conflict. Will that path of increasing complexity with decreasing interface ease/flexibility result in less suck/awfulness? Imho it’s bit difficult to answer No...

The value from Apple products is no longer compelling. Devices that can't be worked on or upgraded by users, that don't even operate as they should (MacBook overheating and bad keyboards) or that should do so much more (iPad Pro crippled by software).
So, Apple alternative? For me, it's been HP. Their Spectre x360 line for my mobile laptop / tablet (and it does both, and it can be worked on, and the keyboard isn't garbage, and it doesn't overheat... etc), and their Omen laptop line for gaming and performance. I replaced the iPhone with a Razer Phone 2 (120 Hz screen, USB-C, very powerful, lots of great software and hardware) and I couldn't be happier.
I have a Mac mini for iOS development, and to be fair to Apple, the AppleTV is still the best set top box out there for now, but the rest is just over. And it's sad. I was deep into Apple for 12 years.

Yeah that’s it. We who sense something we don’t like in today’s Apple products we own and still prefer over the Microsoft and google products we don’t own just hate Apple. Yup.

Agree, despite that !@&$!$&! overly-simplified design exercise Apple TV 4K remote. As much as Apple still does enough better than the competition to deserve priority for me there’s always at least one unnecessary pain-inducing stretch like that d@mn remote.
Yeah, the remote leaves a lot to be desired. It was the reason that I tried out the Fire TV, even the Fire TV Cube. And I tried the Roku. The experience was worse on those, even with a real remote. I'm guessing it'll be a few years before another set top box has as smooth and un-argumentative an experience as the Apple TV.

Doesn’t sound like it, sounds like they just don’t like apple. It’s strange because they still keep buying apple products. Different strokes I guess.
Can you provide examples. Serious question. Maybe you’re right or maybe some are bad at getting their point across clearly. I personally complain over changes that I feel were unnecessary at best and worsening the ownership experience at worst. But I find AAPL products to be the best alternatives still, despite the shortcomings I perceive and which seem to be much more plentiful than 6+ years ago. So I buy and complain over specific things I do hate and wish could change for the better. I rarely see pure AAPL hate/dislike but I’m sure it exists here somewhere.

I do use my iPhone and $10 remote from Amazon in place of the Jony Ive Unnecessary Minimalist Design Contest remote. Saves my sanity during any/every tv watching session.
