Apple Aluminium 23-inch Cinema Display and new Mac Pro

Can the older 23-inch Aluminium Cinema Display connect to the new Mac Pro's? They had DVI connectors.

I was told the Aluminium Cinema Displays will not work on the new Mac Pro's. Is this correct? I thought any DVI display would work on the units? Is there something I am missing or am I being told the incorrect information?

They will work just fine. Most cards have both DVI and Mini-Displayport. Mini-Displayport with an adapter will also work.

No you don't. Mac Pros have three ports, one DVI and two MDP. Ergo, the 23" goes straight in to the DVI port, no adapter.
