iOS/iPadOS: Settings > Camera > Lens Correction (Correct lens distortion on the front and Ultra Wide cameras).

With the setting enabled, when editing these photos in Lightroom, I can still apply lens corrections. Is the lens correction in Lightroom needed?

"It depends". Often, the 1st party manufacturer of both the lens and the camera (e.g. Nikon camera, Nikon lenses) will supply certain correction instructions as part of the raw file and applications like ACR/Lr or Capture One can then apply those corrections directly. This can often eliminate the need for the raw processing manufacturers to provide bespoke profiles. What I don't know is if you're working with raw files on your Apple devices and if so, whether Lr will pick up those software defined corrections. It won't hurt to try and see if there's a difference.
