Wasn’t going to upgrade from my 14 Pro Max, but the ability to shoot spatial video just may have pushed me to do so since I am getting the Apple Vision Pro.
The brushed titanium looks "cheaper" to me than the glossy steel did. I think polishing it to a mirror finish would have been my preferred look, I have no idea how possible that is with Titanium though.
I go into this every year thinking, "I'm not going to buy another iPhone, what's really different?", but I got to admit I don't care about the titanium but boy the hype is infectious. My credit card is getting nervous.
Innovation is in the details, it is in the iteration. So many companies struggle with that, and is truly the most innovative part of Apple.
Many of us will not put a case on iPhone 15 Pro. I use iPhone Pros hard and the modern versions do fine without cases.
Apple UK not updated to show any of the new product, at the time of posting this. I was hoping to compare products.

Hope the 256GB Pro Max isn’t gimped in some way seeing as it’s the new base but I’ve been using 256GB iPhones for years and I don’t need more space than that and I plan on doing so again with this one. Fingers crossed. 🤞

Happy to see so much make it to the base models 15 and plus.. 2000 nits brightness, dynamic island, 2x telephoto, 48 MP sensor,
But i think the pro and pro MAX models are PRETTY DARN SOLID upgrades this year. That camera really just seem like a big pushing of the envelope of what is possible in this form factor. REALLY would love to know how much more efficient the 3nm A17 processor is going to be and more about WEIGHT and size, but we’ll see soon enough.
And keeping pricing essentially the SAME, pretty big deal after what has been quite a year of overall materials, human capital inflation price increases.

But when have they ever done this - other than say the introduction of retina for the iPhone 4, the increased size of the 6 and the awful notch of the X? It's incremental all the way. They presumably want to hook in the owners of 11s and 12s for whom the 14 represents a decent upgrade.

If so... that's pretty wild. So you don't have to take up space on the phone with all these giant files.
And then you can plug the SSD into a computer for editing. That'll be an amazing workflow!

The most surprising thing is no periscope lens. If you want to zoom in on something, you REALLY zoom in on it. No middle ground.
What's wild is they literally bent the physics to their will. I've never heard of that type of lens design before. I wonder if it results in any light transmission loss?

the ability to play console/pc games on the phone has sold me.
They even kept the iPhone SE in their lineup unchanged. You can get an android with the specs of a pro for that. Please punish Tim for focusing only on money. iPhone is dead this keynote is proving it.
