Interesting view point - - mine is opposite except that I too would never upgrade a fully loaded MBP in one generation.
USB-C cable isn't colour matched, for those who wanted to know.
And I'm guessing the included cable is for charging and for USB 2.0 transfer speeds.
They said in the video that iPhone Pro 15 can have faster transfer speeds with a USB 3.0 cable. But I doubt they are including a 3.0 cable in the box. So we'll see.

What happened to Apple's CPU team? Only a 10% improvement. The move to 3nm itself gets a 10% speed increase.

Blue 15 Pro Max for me. Solid upgrade from my 13 Pro (non Max).
Truly a surprise on the camera. The world was adamant that a Sony periscope assembly would be used. Instead it looks like Apple used a prism based design and did some really interesting stuff with it.

Its got Harware Raytracing!!! This will be a huge ****ing upgrade for M3 machines! finally good hpes for 3d artists on macs!

Anybody following lithography knows advancements have been slowing down due to physics. 3nm is a marketing term only. People who were expecting huge double digit increases didn't know what they were talking about.

I did too. And the biggest thing that I noticed was that there are no Mac Pro’s. It’s dead like we thought. If Apple thinks that the Studio is enough, it enough for everyone.
